MOST Audio Post Moves to Amsterdam’s Houthavens and Joins SMP Amsterdam

SMP Amsterdam and MOST Audio Post are joining forces, strengthening their position as a creative audio partner for the Dutch and international market.

Amsterdam, 3rd of September 2026 – MOST Audio Post is joining SMP Amsterdam as of 3 September. With this step, MOST is deliberately choosing to grow and strengthen its position, while retaining the trusted quality, personal approach and expertise that MOST is known for.

The integration of MOST into SMP is a logical next step for both organisations. The market increasingly calls for an integrated approach in which music, sound design, voice and audio post-production come together. By joining forces, clients gain access to a broader creative team, more expertise and expanded facilities, while retaining the trusted quality and personal way of working that MOST is known for.

“MOST has built a strong reputation for high-quality audio post-production over the years. The quality, creativity and personal approach align extremely well with the way we work at SMP,” says Martijn Schimmer, founder of SMP Amsterdam. “By bringing our expertise together, we can support clients even better and give them access to more creative possibilities, from music and composition to sound design, voice and audio post-production.”

Ivo Witteveen, co-founder of MOST, adds: “In a rapidly changing landscape, we were looking to align MOST as a boutique studio with a partner that offers us greater scale and more possibilities, while preserving our own character. SMP and MOST are highly complementary. For the future of MOST, this is a very positive step.”

One creative audio partner

The collaboration gives clients access to the combined expertise and facilities of both organisations. Projects can be supported by one team, from the initial creative idea through to the final audio mix.

Clients will gain access to, among other things:

  • high-quality audio post-production;

  • music production and composition;

  • sound design;

  • voice casting and recording;

  • Dolby Atmos mixing;

  • a broader music catalogue and MusicFinder;

  • larger studio and production facilities;

  • an international network of creative makers.

Together, this creates an integrated audio partner for commercials, branded content, film and other audiovisual productions.

Continuity for existing clients

The collaboration is firmly focused on continuity. Matthijs Koster, Chief Audio Post at MOST, will continue in the same role following the move and remain responsible for audio post-production.

“For our clients, the way we work together will remain familiar,” says Matthijs. “At MOST, you will continue to work directly with the people doing the creative work. At the same time, SMP gives us more to offer. We gain access to additional expertise, high-end studio facilities and a larger network of creative makers. This gives us more opportunities to support clients both creatively and throughout the production process.”

During September, MOST will move from the Jacob van Lennepkade to the Houthavens and will be fully based at SMP Amsterdam as of 1 October. For existing clients, this means they will continue to work in the same personal way, while also benefiting from SMP’s additional expertise, facilities and network.

With MOST joining SMP, a creative audio platform is being created in which music, sound design, audio post-production, voice and technology come together.

The trusted quality of MOST. The creative strength of SMP. More possibilities for clients.

Opt-out

MOST is joining forces with SMP. In practice, little will change: we’ll continue operating under the MOST name and brand, now from SMP’s location. Formally, however, MOST will become part of SMP B.V.

As a result, we will be transferring the client data we (MOST) hold on your company, such as contact details, project data, and invoice history, to SMP B.V. This transfer is necessary to ensure uninterrupted continuation of the service you’re used to, and is based on our legitimate interest in a proper business transfer.

If you object to this, please let us know by September 12th. If we don’t hear from you, we will assume you agree to the transfer.

More information on how SMP B.V. handles your data can be found in their privacy policy: https://www.smp.nl/disclaimer
